On February 20th, Dr. Chilton and Barbie Izquierdo, of Witnesses to Hunger, spent an hour talking about hunger and the new film A Place at the Table with Marty Moss-Coane on WHYY's Radio Times.

On the show Dr. Chilton talked about her research through Children's HealthWatch on how hunger impacts the cognitive, social, emotional development of children and her work founding and supporting the Witnesses to Hunger project.

Barbie discussed her struggles to feed her two children and her want to break the cycle of poverty as she saw her mother have the same struggles. "When you want to put food in your children's mouths you need to use yours to speak up and fight against something that can be stopped."

In addition, you will learn from the directors of the movie why they decided to make this film and how they came into contact with the amazing storytellers in the movie.
