Testimonies on the Importance of SNAP

On March 28, 2012, the Institute of Medicine asked their Committee on Examination of the Adequacy of Food Resources and SNAP Allotments to participate in a forum for public comment that would address the necessity of the SNAP program.
The Center's own Dr. Amanda Breen, the Research and Site Coordinator for Children's HealthWatch Philadelphia, testified in this forum. James Weill, President of the Food Research and Action Center (FRAC), and Alexandra Ashbrook, Director of D.C. Hunger Solutions, also testified.
