Emily E.
Emily Edwards is a 27-year-old mother of a son, Bobby Adonijah. She moved to Philadelphia at the age of nine, after losing her sister to AIDS. She has faced a lot of challenges in her life, from being raped and abused, to being homeless and hungry. Emily was looking for a support network, a place that she could find herself. And she found this at Witnesses to Hunger. At Witnesses, she found a love and purpose in helping others, and discovered that she is someone special, someone important. Today, Emily voices her story to let her words be heard and to help others. She also is a strong advocate for STD and AIDS awareness, in honor of her sister.
