American Academy of Pediatricians Recommend Doctors Screen for Food Insecurity

Taking into consideration that more than 15 million children live in food insecure households, the Academy for American Pediatricians released a policy statement, Promoting Food Security for All Children, calling on doctors to screen all children for food insecurity. This is a major step forward in drawing attention to the public health impact of food insecurity, and draws on much of the research that Children's HealthWatch has been doing for many years.
