Our First National Conference: Beyond Hunger: Real People, Real Solutions May 2-4, 2012 Philadelphia

The Center for Hunger-Free Communities is excited to be hosting its first national conference on hunger and poverty, Beyond Hunger: Real People, Real Solutions.

The conference will bring together journalists, academics, advocates, researchers, international leaders, and government officials with the true experts – those who know hunger and poverty first-hand. The conference will feature the keynote speakers, Antwone Fisher and Gwen Ifill, as well as workshops on hunger and nutrition, public welfare policies, the role of the media, and the role of funders in addressing hunger and poverty. Other highlights include the Witnesses to Hunger photo exhibit including photos from Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, Harrisburg and Johnstown, Pennsylvania and a screening of the new documentary film on hunger in America, Finding North.
