We at the Center for Hunger-Free Communities, like so many around the country and the world, were disgusted by the display of violence and hate in Charlottesville, Virginia.  We share with millions in anger, outrage, and condemnation at the overt display of racism by white supremacists.

On August 19, 2017, Witnesses to Hunger will host a Youth Forum + Back-To-School Party in West Philadelphia. The goal is to engage youth in advocacy work related to poverty and hunger and to develop a strong interest in community activism.

Last week, members of Witnesses to Hunger and the Center for Hunger-Free Communities spoke out in direct and forceful opposition to the budget proposed by the White House.  The proposal included $3.6 trillion in cuts to basic social supports for America's most vulnerable.
