A new policy action brief from Children's HealthWatch shows that families who are forced to make tough choices between paying the rent and paying for childcare or groceries may experience negative health consequences. 


On March 28, 2012, the Institute of Medicine asked their Committee on Examination of the Adequacy of Food Resources and SNAP Allotments to participate in a forum for public comment that would address the necessity of the SNAP program. 


The Witnesses to Hunger exhibit in Boston motivated many of its attendees to work harder to end hunger in America. This included Massachusetts Congressman James McGovern, who joined Witnesses for the exhibit at the State House. A report from Boston's WWLP 22News discusses the congressman's proposal that Massachusetts should become a leader in ending childhood hunger by hosting a hunger summit in the state's major cities.



The Boston Globe recently published an article on the Witnesses to Hunger exhibit at the State House in Boston. This exhibit was a collection of photos, stories, and videos from mothers in Boston, the newest chapter of Witnesses to Hunger. The exhibit lasted from March 12-14.
